Popularized by Harvard Medical School in recent times, Mind-Body Medicine (MBM) traces its roots to a century of Stress research. While the Mind-Body approaches have their origin in India. MBM in essence follows a simple learnable framework that seeks to enhance self-regulation and resilience.
MBM is evidence-based, participatory, pragmatic, self-care approach that combines the power of traditional knowledge of Yoga & Meditation with modern psychology and medicine. MBM has applicability across the health cycle from prevention to rehabilitation, for improving outcomes and Quality of Life.
MBM has great potential to evolve as affordable scalable foundation of healthcare truly reflective of the spirit of health promotion i.e. enabling people to increase control over and to improve their health.
